In Loving Memory of Cheeky

He arrived at our house soon after our cat McTavish had passed away. He would visit our garden eating all the food I would put out for the Hedgehogs and he would sit on the bungalow behind us and stare longingly at Brian and myself chancing the occasional tickle. Then he would come into the cat flap and sleep at night in the conservatory and eventualy made his way into our home and our hearts. This is how he got his name. Thistle even though the vet told us she was too old to have another cat around did accept him. And then we had another little friend join the family and we had three cats. It was a nice little family. Then Thistle at the age of 20 passed away. And it took some time for the boys to get used to being the boys. Well I am sitting here with tears in my eyes writing to let you know that our dear little friend has passed away too. We will greatly miss him and at the moment Jingles is at a loss as what to do. He listens out for his friend to come through the cat flap.

Our dearest Cheeky we love and miss you very very much.

Oh Pat, I am so sorry to hear about Cheeky. I know you are like me and loved your cats. My thoughts are with you. I still haven't gotten another since Max died and I just can't bring myself to do it, so I just pet our neighborhood cat---he loves all of us, so he goes from one house to the other.
Not sure if you have been to visit my blog, but Carol (Cajun) is a new grandma. Kaden is still in the hospital and is not yet out of the woods, as we say. Wishing you and Brian a great year ahead. Love and Hugs, Pat

Poor Cheeky, I am so sorry for your loss. I'd hoped to meet him one day. Wasn't he beautiful? He must have been a very happy, lucky cat - you and he gave each other a lot of joy. Love, Alice
