Winter is definately on it's way here.
The temperature has dropped and the nights are closing in and the cats seem to sleep....
And sleep........
And the birds are busily eating as much as possible at the feeders trying to build up their fat for winter. And we are giving them as much help as possible. The boys do enjoy watching them from the patio doors and chuntering at them.
This is our baby black bird who is still hanging around the garden. It is super freindly and we have to keep an eye out for him, least we end up stepping on him. We are also feeding robins, goldfinches, sparrows, starlings, collard doves and occasionally wood pigeons. And just today I spotted a dunnok and a chaffinch on the shed roof. We do get such a kick out of watching our little friends enjoying the food we put out for them. Since we have the feeders we tend to now do our bird watching from the comfort of our home instead of treking around the countryside.

Hi Pat, I have missed you and I guess I don't have your new email because I haven't heard from you since I left ABC.
I love seeing your outdoor scenes. I wish I could jump into the photo and sit for a cup of tea and admire your garden. Mine is being over taken by falling leaves---not even my trees. Hope you are doing well. Miss you. Love and Hugs, Pat
Hi Pat, It would be lovely to sit and have a cup of tea together. :)
